Richard Watts, Director, Center for Research on Vermont Julie Campoli, Principle: Terra Firma Urban Design, recent book; Made for Walking * Justine Sears, Senior Policy Analyst, Transportation Efficiency, VEIC Curt McCormack, Member, House Transportation Committee* Transportation is the largest contributor to GHG emissions in Vermont – and most of that is us driving around in our cars and trucks. As the state moves towards the goal of 90% renewables by 2050 – transportation remains the toughest obstacle. In this panel we explore some of the opportunities and obstacles to reducing driving and increasing walking and other modes in a rural state.
