More Mobility May

This year, CATMA is introducing a new event to help everyone shrug off the Winter and get into sustainable modes of travel.

Join us for a competition to see who can take the most sustainable trips in the month of May.

Badges, prizes and bragging rights are all up for grabs! There are opportunities to race other sustainable commuters and see your name at the top of the leaderboard!

Although CATMA rewards are focused on commute trips, More Mobility May rewards CATMA Commuters for exploring different ways of building sustainable travel into their day.

Who can participate

All CATMA Commuters, that is, anyone eligible for CATMA Commuter Benefits. You must work or reside at a CATMA member organization.

What to do

Complete your profile and log any sustainable trips during the month of May. Sustainable trips include Walking, Biking, Transit or using a Scooter.

More Mobility May is being run through the CATMA app. For the best experience, we suggest using the mobile app, but you can log in from a desktop as well.

Which trips count

ANY sustainable trip counts. This isn’t just for people who get to work by biking, walking or rolling to a jobsite. Any trip counts.

Although CATMA rewards are focused on commute trips, More Mobility May rewards CATMA Commuters for exploring different ways of building sustainable travel into their day and recording it in the CATMA app.

This could be:

Taking transit to the hairstylist or to meet with friends.

Walking to complete an errand or to lunch.

Biking or rolling to a health appointment.

Walking from a meeting in one location to an office in another location.

If you need some ideas, take a look at this Bike Month Bingo card from the League of American Cyclists.

For those who do commute by rolling or walking, it still totally counts if you have the CATMA app automatically record your trips.

What you get

Win up to $215 in credit through the CATMA app and earn some cool badges. The more active, green trips you log in the app, the more prize eligibility you earn. Names will be drawn from the pool of members active in the competition.

Do you like to race? There will be a leaderboard. Who will be at the top?

Aside from actual prizes, you might learn some new ways to get around. Maybe you’ll find a way to walk to get a creemee or an cycling route to your doctor’s office. There are also a lot of fun, group rides that happen in the Burlington area. Maybe you’ll meet some new friends!
