- Search for other commuters in your area
Vanpool Services
Vanpools are similar to carpools, but usually have more people traveling in one vehicle. A vanpool can be a group of 8 to 13 people who commit to regularly riding together by leasing a van on a month-to-month basis, and travel at least 25 miles roundtrip. CATMA in partnership with Go! Vermont will be happy to work with commuters in setting up a vanpool or joining an existing vanpool in your area.
How does vanpooling work?
Volunteer drivers pick up riders at specific points, drop them off at or near their worksite and return them to their pick-up points at the end of each work day. Typically, riders pay a monthly fare and maintenance fee, while drivers receive a discounted rate in exchange for driving and maintaining the van.
