Carpool
Carpooling reduces traffic congestion by removing cars from the road. It will save you money, make your commute less stressful and reduce your impact on the environment.
Benefits of carpooling
- Saving money on gas and maintenance
- Reducing traffic congestion and saving time
- Connecting with co-workers or friends on the ride
- Preferential parking when you carpool
How does carpooling work?
A carpool is two or more commuters sharing a ride in one of their own vehicles. Carpoolers can either share driving and expenses or one person may drive most or all of the time, in which case the passenger shares operating expenses with the driver.
How to join or form a carpool?
Check out Go! Vermont’s Carpool Matching platform. This service helps take the “what if” out of carpooling, by letting you see other riders’ profiles, connecting on the platform and setting arrangements up front, all online!
